Nest Thermostat

Overall, a pretty helpful product. The fact that the thermostat was able to remember my schedule and program itself after only 7 days is pretty impressive. The auto-away function is also pretty cool, and changes temperature when I'm away, sensing the absence. The other helpful aspects of this product is the ability to check energy history, and the function that lets me see how long it takes until the temperature that I program is reached. After I connected the Nest to WiFi, I was able to start checking the temperature on my smart phone (alternatively I was also able to check it on my laptop). My qualm with this product was the time-consuming, difficult installation (the ad promised 30 minutes, for me it was more like an hour--even with extra help from others, who were better at this kind of thing than I am). My other pet peeve is that the numbers on the LCD screen could have been a little bigger in size, but that may not be a problem for others, since I'm near-sighted. Other than the above, I've been pleased with this product so far.
