Seagate Slim 500 GB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive for Mac
I actually have a Windows, and had to convert this hard drive to be compatible
with it. To convert this, you have to go to the Seagate website and download the
driver for Windows, connect the drive, install the software, and re-start
computer. Yes, this part of the process is kind of time-consuming, though when
it's finally formatted it works well. The booklet that comes along with
the driver has a cute illustration of connecting the portable hard drive and
computer through the USB cable, and multi-language instructions for
re-formatting the hard-drive for use with Windows, as well as
publishing/sharing/saving content to social media websites. A USB adapter/cable
is included in the package, and the product has a limited warranty. The portable
hard drive is indeed slim and pretty light, and appears to be of good quality.

Normande Lighting GP5-803A LED Book Light with Magnifier, 4-Piece
I like the idea of this type of lamp, but I felt the title was a little misleading. It should not be called a "book light," as one certainly can't read a book with this. This light with magnifier works well for reading brief texts that are too small to see otherwise, but let me emphasize brief. You certainly can't read a book with this, as the light only covers very small portions of page. But for small pieces of text, this works well. The LED light is convenient and comfortable.
The overall design is on the cheap side--the plastic is easily breakable and I found the battery compartment hard to open. Batteries are not included with the light, you have to purchase thems separately.
SMS Audio Street by 50 Cent Wired On-Ear Headphones - Black
As a music addict, I was looking forward to trying these out. My main impressions (both good and bad): Cons: The headphones are heavy and rigid to wear. Despite the soft cushions on the earcups, I felt that they pressed too hard and I felt like my ears were going to pop. Also, there's no active noise cancellation. Pros: Excellent sound quality. The headphones are attractively designed and come with a carry case and soft cleaning cloth. Thanks to their design, the headphones are foldable and fit well into the compact carrying case included with them. They also have a built-in microphone(in the event you want to interrupt your music to take a call), and hook up to pretty much anything--ipad, mp3 players, cd players, you name it. (The only requirement is that the audio device have a 3.5 mm stereo jack, but I can't think of one that doesn't).

iHome Type Series: Smart Type Univeresal Full-Size Bluetooth Keyboard with Smart Cover for all iPads, Silver
I recently used it with my ipad, and became a fan. I was afraid the keyboard would be too small or that the keys would be too flat, but was pleasntly impressed on both counts. The bluetooth keyboard is a normal size, and the keys are very comfortable--instead of falling into the keyboard, each key is elevated and comfortable to press. The keyboard is attached to a protective cover which folds back when typing and elevates the keyboard, which is is a nice touch. A USB charging cable is included, in addition to the user's manual. Overall, a good keyboard for my ipad.
Jerdon JGL7W Euro Tabletop Two-Sided Lighted Makeup Mirror with 5x Magnification and 4-Light Settings, White Finish
Ok, I admit I was intrigued with the premise for this product--a makeup mirror with different levels of lighting for different environments, including settings for daytime, office, evening, and home. You just plug that mirror in, and move the white button to the setting which you prefer and the mirror turns on with the appropriate lighting. The mirror also has a built-in electrical outlet on the side, so while you're putting on makeup, you can also connect a fan or whatever and blow or style your hair at the same time. The idea is good and the product is attractive. However, the mirror itself is kind of large and I can't imagine dragging it around in my handbag when I'm going somewhere. The lighting itself varies from being too dim to being too bright--though I guess it's meant to be that way, based on the various setting.

Canon PowerShot SX120IS 10MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Stabilized Zoom 3-inch LCD
Canon is one of the high-quality photo camera manufacturers out there, and I have had a good general experience with it.

Pros
-Easy to use
-Quality picture
-Very good design
-3'' inch LCD display
-Great zoom
-10 mp digital camera
Cons
-The location of the memory card is uncomfotable--it's in the same place as the batteries.
-it's doesn't have a separate vievfinder. it's hard to use the LCD display as viewfinder when there's sunlight.
Overall, this is a good camera for a beginner. One other thing I would change about this camera is the color, as I'm not a big fan of black, but that's a color that somebody else might love. Except for the above cons, this is a decent camera to have.
Garmin nüvi 255W 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator
Whenever I drive to unfamiliar places, or need to find an alternate road, I
always grab my GPS with me.I got my first GPS a couple of years ago. It was a slightly earlier Garmin model, and it froze and stopped working after only two years. That was when I switched to this GPS--which, thankfully, is still working.
Pros
Big screen
Easy navigation
Mostly accurate directions
Detour button (works great in unexpected road blockages/jams)
Cons
Short battery life. Have to keep re-loading it.
In rare instances, directed me toward "dead end" streets, and turns that were not really turns.
Panasonic DMP-BD87 Ultra-Fast Booting Blu-ray Disc Player
If you're looking for an inexpensive and good quality blu-ray player for the
simple purpose of quickly loading and playing discs, then this does the
trick.Pros
-Easy to set up.
-Very fast booting up and loading of blu-ray discs.
-Great picture quality.
-Lightweight.
Cons
-LCD screen looks cheap.
-If you lose the remote control, and want to manually press the buttons on the blu-ray player it's uncomfortable as they're scattered all over the place.
Last thought: Overall quality of this blu-player is satisfactory and for my purposes it works fine.

Sony D-FJ041 CD Walkman Portable CD Player with AM/FM Tuner
I have been using my old sony cd-player for a couple of years before it stopped working. That's when I bought this replacement model. It's a pretty good cd-player that plays all my Cds and has the radio option as well. My biggest problem with the player is the headphones. They are so uncomfortable that I chose not to use them, and had to buy another pair of headphones instead to hook up to this cd-player.
Pros
Attractive design
Good sound
Comfortable to use
Cons
The headphones included were a joke
Minor and rare playing problems do occur, particularly with some of my old cds.
With the exception of the above issures, I am satisfied with this cd player.
Innova 3100 CAN/OBDII Code Reader
I used this code reader for the purpose of finding the diagnostic problems on my toyota camry. Overall, it's a useful diagnostic tool that does save you some money. it comes with a cable and software that connects to your computer to produce the diagnostic report and possible solutions (yes, an exact solution is almost never presented--rather several "possible" ones are.) The software uses a web-based link. when you access it, you are asked to enter your vin number, plate number, and other diagnostic questions. As I already mentioned, the software only gives you a basic diagnostic report. If you want a detailed repair solution report, you need to pay additional money. And, even then, the specific problem is never identified. Instead, your list of possible solutions is ordered down from "most likely" to lesser likely. I'm giving this four stars as the "most likely" solution listed--though it lacked concrete details and was a little too broad in its description--did fit what the mechanic told me. However, if you're thinking of saving money and repairing your car yourself, don't bother with this and get a more expensive code reader.
Jabra JOURNEY Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone
I have used this in my car a couple of times and here are my impressions:Pros
Easy Set Up
Quick charging
Easy to carry. Compact and light.
Adequate sound quality (the person whom I was speaking to had no problem hearing me)
Simple to use, attach to visor, and remove.
Cons
Works with my newer cell phone, but for some reason, won't hook up to my older cell phone.
Although sound quality is adequate, it's not always perfect (depending on where you're traveling).
All in all, I am satisfied with this product and have enjoyed talking on my cell phone, without having to hold it and being able to keep my eyes on the driving.
Winegard Company FL-5000 FlatWave HDTV Indoor Digital Flat Antenna
Originally I was skeptical about having an indoor antenna--a long time ago I tried a store-bought indoor antenna and it barely worked at all. With this in mind, this product exceeded my expectations.Pros
Good receival of HD signals over the air
Compact antenna that attaches to the windows
Works great with HD TV. Great picture.
Pretty easy set up. Then you jusr scan for channels on air available where you live.
Cons
While the number of channels it picked up (twenty-something) wasn't low, it wasn't high either. So expect a moderate number of channels to be picked up (depending on the area where you live, the proximity of the antenna to the nearest tower and etc.), but nothing earth shattering.
Overall: It's a satisfactory product and fulfills its purpose, so long as you're not too picky about the channels you're getting (which will still be limited).

Nest Thermostat
Overall, a pretty helpful product. The fact that the thermostat was able to remember my schedule and program itself after only 7 days is pretty impressive. The auto-away function is also pretty cool, and changes temperature when I'm away, sensing the absence. The other helpful aspects of this product is the ability to check energy history, and the function that lets me see how long it takes until the temperature that I program is reached. After I connected the Nest to WiFi, I was able to start checking the temperature on my smart phone (alternatively I was also able to check it on my laptop). My qualm with this product was the time-consuming, difficult installation (the ad promised 30 minutes, for me it was more like an hour--even with extra help from others, who were better at this kind of thing than I am). My other pet peeve is that the numbers on the LCD screen could have been a little bigger in size, but that may not be a problem for others, since I'm near-sighted. Other than the above, I've been pleased with this product so far.
